#asknostr any tips for killing bindweed? Two hours spent digging and extracting it from amongst the gooseberry roots and I'm beaten (and severely scratched!). Its just too deep, widespread and snappy. Not convinced this cardboard will provide much of a barrier so open to other ideas!

Hey man, occultation and digging it out for about 5 years worked for me. You have to be very diligent... cardboard works. I saw an episode of Gardeners World where Monty Don used a digger and still couldn't get it all out. Fucking horrid stuff...
oh wow can calm down then lol was never going to get that done in a day! after reading up on 'occultation' I found I can also cover over a mulch with weed fabric which I never thought of before. Wasn't sure what to do as didn't want to put it underneath
