By the time you figure out that you’ve made a strategic mistake, it’s often too late. Intel is an example of this behavior.

A decade ago, Intel decided not to compete against ARM for mobile chips or Nvidia in machine learning because it was more profitable at the time to make chips for PCs. A decade later, it’s begging for government handouts.

What are similar examples of strategic errors being made by companies or countries today that you expect to manifest in 5-10 years?

Postal services not offering hosting business email (digital PO Boxes/ private bags). Although TBH they should have started that pivot 10-20 years ago.
