Primal has set the standard for UX by, in large part, developing a *full stack* client that, while still maintaining relays as the authoritative source of notes, is able to deliver the UX that users expect.

Other clients have foolishly hamstrung themselves by demonizing server code even when it serves user interests and in no way compromises user autonomy or #Nostr decentralization.

In other words, purity signalling was costly and gave Primal a huge advantage.

Using mostly Yakihonne as a client, over Primal these days. But there are many, and I don't really have any problem with UX. I don't get the criticism. Unless it's a direct comparison with apps with $ billions over decades on development and network growth
