My favourite British-Iranian cultural commentator who wears a funny hat and smokes cigars, with the lowdown:

i'm interested in your TL;DR because i listened to a bit of it and it goes on for a long time, 90+ minutes, i just want the two sentence version.

from what i did listen to, i got this:

1: iran wants sovereignty

2: israel rulers are narcissists who think they are awesome and everyone should be part of their empire, the "greater israel project"

it seems to me this is part of the reason why the BRICS bloc has emerged, this is nations whose life has been interfered with heavily by CIA operations and they are fed up, since a very long time, in some cases. and they are fed up with the dollar based international financial system, and are systematically adopting bilateral interbank exchanges instead of depending on SWIFT and COMEX and others.

iran is now in that bloc and they all are fairly consistent in that they want to establish interbanking services between their nations and to not invade each other or send spies to interfere.

i can say other things about china (ie, the fact they are hypocrites about this and have spent immense amounts of money on espionage againtst USA) and that russia has an internal problem with fascists (i had a half ukrainian friend who was beaten nearly to death most likely due to his parentage) that they don't talk about but everyone nearby knows about it, this is why poland and baltics are quite hostile to russia.
