You don’t have to kill everybody in an group for it to be genocide. But can you really argue that what’s happening in Gaza isn’t destroying part of national / ethnic group?

You don’t have to support or endorse anything Hamas or any other Palestinian group has done to see what’s happening is genocide. Nor do you have to that somehow Israel doesn’t have a right to exist when you condemn its state and military for their acts of genocide.
But, it’s not genocide. No matter how much you want it to be.
It is genocide by its very definition no matter how much you personally want to deny it.
Every Nazi hanged at Nuremberg denied the genocide charges too. They were still hung by the neck until they were dead.
Self defense isn't "genocide". These same people who claim to be victims of such are themselves involved in attempted genocide of the Jewish people in the land of Israel and were either:
1. Active participants in atrocities before, after and during October 7
2. Provided support and infrastructure for such above participants
Those that don't fit into the above 2 categories (which is, according to election statistics, ~20% of the Gazan population) are victims of their own people and not Israeli "aggression".

You seem to suffer from tribalistic thinking. What is happening in Gaza is clearly a genocide and the conditions have been moving in that direction since the Palestinian Authority was removed from power in the 2000s. It isn't even a matter of marxism or conservatism - that is lazy thinking done from a position where you have no particular stake in the governance of Palestinians
What? The PA lost in elections to Hamas in 2007.
The ones who are committing genocide are the Arab militias between the Jordan and the sea. Their stated goal is to annihilate any Jews within the above boundaries, and they have the implicit or explicit support of around 60-80% of "Palestinians". Have you ever read the Hamas charter?

Palestinians as a national entity are a fiction conjured by Nazi collaborator Amin al-Husseini for the sole purpose of committing genocide against the Jews. That's why he met with Hitler. The Palestinians are the occupiers who came from Arabia. Their governance is an Israeli issue.
This isn't about tribalism. It's about justice and preserving natural rights.
