What is your take of this ‘pop culture’ story: Focused on the top rated song covered by a country music megastar or the difficult conversations about diversity that we are not having? I would not say it is a deliberate alienation of the country music audience, but it seems to me a good example of privilege imposing.

There was always an audience that knew Elvis covered Big Mama Thornton’s “Hound Dog”. It doesn’t make someone a better person for having learned it later or a worst person to have never learned it.
