In what way is Nostr more than a social media protocol?

The “other stuff”, one great example is that jack has a bounty out for a better GitHub… currently Microsoft owns it (I think it’s them) and if they wanted to, they could censor code…. Nostr can be used to host a GitHub like service over relays… 
real simple but impressive and educational example of other stuff… but even github replacement would still fundamentally just be different note kinds.
