This is true. Although for me, the worst part of freelance is receiving payments on time from some of the clients which then becomes annoying

Yea it’s annoying for sure. Best way to mitigate those feelings that I’ve found is just to stockpile your cash on hand buffer so you don’t have to worry about things coming in on time.
