I was at the angry dark place yesterday for a few minutes to post about NosVegas and I saw a tweet from nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vgkhjsen where he replies to someone saying it's coming or give us time, etc. I believe him. I believe it's coming soon. I also understand that it's not just something that can be done with the flick of a switch at a publicly trade company that has to comply with state regulations. As the Zoomers say, let him cook.

i.e. Rolling out Bitcoin payments and then having a huge disclaimer that it doesn't work in New York for example, is not the greatest experience.

Yeah but hasnt that been the case for everything bitcoin in NY since the bitlicense?

Fortunately there are some people who have been putting time and resources into getting the BitLicense repealed. It may not happen until we have less corrupt and idiotic leadership in Albany, but this happened yesterday at the NYC mayor’s residence. So there is a push starting.

nice.

Touche CEO, touche.

Yeah i understand i wonder how long steak and shake was baking their LN payments, on that note do we know what backend they are using to receive sats.

They're using Speed. And since they're using a third party solution, the third party, Speed, would have taken care of the regulatory compliance.
