Hey man. I think it comes back to your own definitions, your beliefs.

I like your game metaphor because there are many similarities between physical existence & a game. At times it feels we were placed here with few rules & just a vague structure to what this game is all about.

To take ownership of everything in your physical experience is to believe that you chose it all. To believe that you're not simply a player but the game master himself. I chose this game & everything that appears within this game is for my own experiential benefit.

To this end, I believe freedom is a choice, a mindset. Whether you find yourself in the potato peeling level or something else, you always have a choice to make. You always have a path to take & a set of dynamics to experience. I think adopting a playfulness to life is key to getting the most value out of the experience. A game infers a triviality to it all but there are some very serious games being played right now as well as the trivial.

Loved the sketchy impromptu video & I could feel your authenticity. Expressing your authentic self is the hallmark of freedom.
