Regarding my 2018 MacBook Pro, it seems that there is some issue with the Touch Bar (BridgeOS). Touch Bar-equipped models have a problem where the Touch Bar can be damaged when opening or closing the display. It appears to check BridgeOS during OS startup, but crashes at that stage. When booting in Safe Mode, it skips the BridgeOS check, allowing the OS to start. Connecting to an external display in Safe Mode, despite repeated crashes, eventually results in successful startup. While in use, there are no issues, but the system crashes when the display goes to sleep. Considering that the Touch Bar itself seems to be functioning, I believe the problem may be related to a connector issue, although replacing the Touch Bar is challenging for an individual. #Apple #macOS
