There's a huge difference in the coffee that I used to drink in Bolivia when I was a younger man.

North American coffee is lackluster at best.

The problem with most off the shelf shit here is not just that it's drum roasted and half burnt, you ever notice that they don't have air vents in the packaging? Yeah, that's because it's already fully off-gassed and oxidized before packaging so the cans don't explode. It's pre-stale for profit.

My coffee guy is a total bean nerd, used to work in the industry and now he runs his own small roaster and does hippy shit πŸ˜‚

Dude's dedicated af too, sources the beans himself and picks them up from the port of Seattle in person.
