I'm on pace to have more sats in lightning channels than in cold storage. Is this good or bad?

No. Bad idea.. keep all sats in cold storage. Lightning network is just to move btc fast not to store

I run a lightning node and to route sats you must lock up sats in lightning channels 😃 I think there might have been some confusion in my OP

it would make sense if the ROI were enough to cover the risks of running a node. Unless you have a very busy node, it's too risky right now. I also realize that opening channel now is a good deal for the future, tho
