The merdeka curriculum is rather giving students more and more pressures than the 2013 curriculum.
The name of the new curriculum sounded cool. But the idea in it sucks.
If students got more and more homeworks to be done, especially the 1st grader elementary students, Won't that also give the pressure to parents too?
If first grader need to have lot of homeworks like the teenagers did with help from parents, Then what is the purpose of teachers in the school anyway?
Formal schooling most levels is ALWAYS 80% BULLSHIT for old/new/all generations in most countries. Parents have no Choice PAY$ for it. Degree is FUNDAMENTAL for any formal job/immigration/biz-loan. colleagues curriculum's are OUT-OF-DATE present / future economy. e.g. how many institutions are teaching AI worldwide at school/degree levels? Real stuff is always LEARN from family/friends/source like blog/nostr
I am even weirded out by our Ministry of Education and Culture. It is like they never thinked of this effect before applying the Merdeka Curriculum into this nation.

This is unfortunately true. nowadays most of these ministers are decades behind in technology/real life.
As an ultimate proof, There's someone's uncle who worked at Ministry of Communication and Information. Their uncle says that one of their employees could not plug an VGA port into monitor properly.
And that's absurd.
Parents has NO CHOICE BUT feed the system or else ur children cannot a FORMAL cert or degree to proceed further. Anyway teach REAL STUFF at home. Schools NEVER do that.
And that's what happens to my grade 3 elementary student youngest sibling. He literally got homeworks for literally EVERY SINGLE DAYS IN A WEEK.
And the most ironic part was, the homeworks was not even being explained by their teachers. The teachers expect the parent or the guider at home to teach the students.
What the fuck? Then what is the point of school anyway? In a nutshell, they basically making us homeschooling our childrens.
I may not call these a "teachers" anymore.
Now i am somewhat getting the point why one of my friend at https://ircnow.org are homeschooling their sons.
Till today they are doing great.
