I feel similar.

I think the pros associate with the signal, and the freedom tech, outweigh the cons associated with ease of onboarding or access.

You’re required to put work and due diligence to use the protocol, and I think that’s a filter of sorts, possibly keeping less desirable persons or content from flooding the network.

Although in the spirit of onboarding, I see in the future, a much easier workflow on the horizon.

Agreed on both points. I like the self-filtering onboarding that is inherently built in right now, but I think that effect is just like any new technology at the very beginning. At the end of the day, unfiltered and uncensorable ideas will always be possible on here, and that’s incredibly exciting.

I also believe that having btc layer 2 being so woven into the social media aspect of the protocol has many benefits including filtering, discouragement of innate toxicity, and meaningful dialogue, and that we will discover more strengths as we continue to explore what can be done with decentralization, zero trust, and value for value as well as proof of work.
