Speed is the main reason with my setup. In my case I have Coinos as the default wallet for nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 ( via the zap.army workaround ) via NWC. Custodial but very fast. Small amounts only.

My Zeus connects to my core lighting node over TOR. Sovereign but not as fast, not ideal for zaps.

Plus I can quickly connect to the same NWC wallet from any nostr app that supports it if I want to. 😃

Not a bad set-up at all, but just wanted to let you know you can run NWC directly off your CLN node with https://github.com/gudnuf/cln_nwc
