Whats cool is once we fix this then the entire rust + egui ecosystem will have access to text input on android. Ideally this would have been done before we got here but I guess this is cutting edge stuff.

mike annoys me and i hate rust and go has been able to do all this shit for like 5 years... i very nearly released a full pure go bitcoin fork that had a working gui wallet that would have been deployable on android back in 2020
but they did unfortunately change so much of the API that my custom widgets are not usable anymore on the current version
