Framed #657 (nah. I've been watching Black Butterflies on Netflix. It's good and medium French. Still experiencing a 5/10 flare-up of autoimmune related pain. Not life threatening, or the worst, relative to lots of things. So I'm not especially listening to music, or doing much outside of operating on a detached autopilot, until it recedes, which it will, or I'll adapt. I feel like a lot of 90s dance music is anti-music and I don't mean that in a wholly derogatory way because I think it's often as much about outsiders as punk rock but from an entirely different angle. While punks often made shitty music with cheap guitars a lot of 90s EDM people made shitty music with cheap computers and relatively cheap synths. Totally different values and aesthetics but a similar modus operandi. Like all culture, over the longer term, we mostly remember the good or notable bits. For every Liam Howlett there were 10 Jeremy Usbornes, but they were there, and it means/meant something. It's 5am and I feel increasingly shitty, and I have had no sleep, yet I'm optimistic. Which is like a 1990s simulator.)
