But even if you disagree with that, you have to realize the scope...he disintegrated almost 9 billion dollars of investor's money. If he could find a job paying a million dollars a year, it would take almost 9k years to recoup those losses.

That's how much human productivity he destroyed. There's no 'paying back the victim' here.
