This morning I observed my kid's Montessori classroom. It was great to see all the students busy working independently on different topics at the same time.

Two kids were learning to identify 20 different types of rocks and minerals by touch and sight. They then match them to their pictures, names and descriptions..

Another was writing their own stories in cursive with pictures and learning proper grammar.

Another learning multiplication with larger numbers.

Another drawing polynomials learning about angles, base, surface area.

They are a class of grade 1-3s combined which serves as learning method where the youngest learning from the older/experienced ones. The added benefits is the ones teaching others also grasp and retain the concepts even better having the opportunity to teach they peers.

Mean while the teachers provide 1on1 guidance direction and mini lessons when needed to keep them moving along their path.

This is more align to what our public education system should have evolved to, instead of the legacy fiat eduction..
