Scientists have discovered a new class of life forms called Obelisks within the human digestive system, present in 10% of examined human microbiomes with over 30,000 variants identified. While initially thought to be viruses, these organisms contain unique genetic material coding for novel proteins called Oblins, making them distinct from known biological agents.
