Good Day, My Dear Fellow Nostriches!đ
I recently replied to the note below because I consider the question it asks and the topic it raises to be of ***great*** importance:
I framed my answer before listening to Father Spyridon's brief message; then when I listened, I found that he and I are very substantially in agreement.
Whether or not you are a Christian, I invite you to listen to Father Spyridon's answer to the question (above) and also to read (below) my short response to the question:
---
Thanks for asking this excellent, vital, question, so widely answered ***poorly and unbiblically*** by vast numbers of well meaning but misled Christians.
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Modern Israel is just one more wicked nation-state among hundreds. All are fiefdoms of satan, intent on killing, stealing, and destroying in order to achieve their evil ends.
The ersatz "rulers" (i.e., ***tyrants***) of every one of these abominable centralized entities believe themselves to be ***gods***, presuming they and their minions have a magically acquired right to command their fellow man, appropriating and living lavishly off of his property and the fruit of his labor.
Jesus/Godâby virtue of the fact he CREATED usâis the ONLY human with a legitimate RIGHT to control us; and yet he graciously grants us freedom to live and act voluntarily in every good and beneficial way according to our individual desires.
Jesus is advancing his Kingdom by gradually drawing individuals OUT OF their futile devotion to nation-states, with their antichrist (***substitute king***) tyrants, and INTO the peaceful Kingdom of the Heavens.
Jesus' Kingdom is a distributed nation, a city-state ORGANISM (Jesus' body), a universal community comprising 100% voluntary, self-governing, decentralized, non-hierarchical local communities of followers of HIS way, each of whom report to HIM as their only source of authority.
Scripture teaches that Jesus is presently in the process of ***destroying*** all competing political entities; in most cases, nation-states atrophy and self-destructâJesus' eternal Kingdom growing and replacing their coercive functions with superior, beneficial functionsâwhile in some cases, Jesus literally dismantles or pulverizes them.
You'll find these assertions fleshed out and biblically supported in the collection of articles below:
