Quite often they become villains through their attempt to do good or great things.

Or powerful men are used by a greater force to villainous things.

Tbh there are no exceptions unfortunately. At a certain point power corrupts every human being. Sadge.

Also, "Evil preaches tolerance, .." and seems to be totally okay with harassment and abuse. It seems like you abused power when you thought you had it, and now that it turns out it's based on lies and deception, you don't want to accept the consequences?
