Yeah, Blaise Pascal is my idol... fuck me

Pascal's wager is a practical argument for belief in God formulated by French mathematician and philosopher Blaise Pascal. It suggests that it is rational to wager on the existence of God because the potential gains of believing in God, if God exists, outweigh the potential losses of not believing in God, if God does not exist.

It is always amazing at how much circumnavigating occurs before the target is acquired.

Your double standards never cease to astound. Eat a duck and fuck off.

Now you are projecting.

Some fatherly advice for you: fight up, not down. Choose a better target more suited to your Superior Knowledge.

GO in peace. Go being the operative word here.

Some grandfatherly advice to you. Get on your knees when no one is looking and give your life over to Jesus Christ. I prayed for you and I pray that you will see that there is one book, called the Bible, and there are millions manuscripts, songs, productions and media built on denying that the Bible exists or is the word of God. It is. They are pointing away but the truth is in the middle as they dance around it to deny it.

Jesus is the Savior and if you understand how many rituals and rites men have gone through just to make up for their sins that are innumerable and then when you understand that Jesus Christ took on our sins and gave his life for us you will not only gain wisdom but you will be saved.

There are many now who already have their reward and it's a short life. Then there are others who are just getting started in the Kingdom of Heaven. This thread started by me acknowledging the power of those who work together with God and you sought humor in propping up a psychological operation as an example of this. Today, the devil will lose, again.

1 Cor 10:17-21 KJV For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

18. Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

19. What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

20. But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

21. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

There is no yin and yang. The opposition is not equal. Light shows us where the darkness is but darkness shows us nothing.

Joh 14:6-7 KJV Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him...

You lost me at "get on your knees". I'll die on my feet. Thank you for the advice none-the-less.

It is very counterintuitive. That's why it is recommended to be done when only God, who sees everything, including what is in our heart and thoughts. It is a humbling of myself to Thyself.

I did this and I was lifted up out of a terrible way of life. At least twice a day I do this. Only my cats and my wife may see me do this. It is the most powerful activity I have ever adopted into my life and it's so simple.

Seriously, the foundation that we stand on is not made by men. It is by the grace of God and our free will is the gift that we have for navigation. Once we find the course then we see not only the stars for direction but we see the Creator and in faith he rewards us as long as we honor his word. There lies freedom.

His love is immeasurable.

Mat 6:5-8 KJV ¶ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him...

Mat 11:24-30 KJV But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

25. ¶ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

27. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

28. ¶ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light...

This Pascal argument is so stupid: "if a person does not believe in God and God exists, they receive infinite suffering, this you should believe God".

If this argument is true, what happens when there are multiple religions claiming to follow the "proper God"?

Then the religion in which God is the most evil and punishing, the most bloody God, will have to be the right one to follow, because otherwise you will suffer the most by not following it.

That's where the silly argument of Pascal leads to.

It is mind numbing isn't it. Roko's basilisk has (slightly) more relevance. Credit where its due, he invented the calculator... but he should have stopped at mathematics. His was the day when Science, Religion, and Academia were all rolled into one.

On that note I need to run my daily metasploit in honor of the great Kali
