We've known this but the real question why did everyone leave twitter & get exposed to this? Knowing the consequences to think we went from one proprietary company datamining us to anyone on the internet that decides to host up a relay. If anything it's a datamining grounds for anyone to make a buck now multiple advertising companies will triple their prices & stuff because they can reach us here with bots, algorithims, & third party tools we don't know are affecting us.

Next question how do we correct this? Answer create a new social network new protocol follow the idea like the anon chat app simplex a protocol that keeps almost nothing identifying.

Nostr is evolving to allow more privacy. It's heading in the right direction, IMO.

Most notes have the privacy of normal webpages, right now, because that's essentially what they are. That's why we say it's the New Internet.

I think it's best to go from most-open to most-private, if you want to prevent censorship and allow freedom of the press across the globe. The privacy has to be built upon an open protocol, but it will never be truly private. Can get to the level of a bulletin board or Twitter DMs, essentially.
