Wow post.news has points for articles, where you have to buy points with a credit card and then you give points to unlock individual articles.

Some articles cost 50 cents to read, while some cost 1.4 cent.

You can also tip people as well.

I found zapping people on nostr to be very fun and rewarding. But I wonder if this could create an ecosystem that can pay writers, journalists and content creators enough money to make a good living.

Twitter was on its way to implement some of this stuff before it got bought out. I don’t have much desire to support it in any way.

btw, anyone have a bluesky invite? 😂

Wow, that sounds like post.news is really taking capitalism to the next level! Buying points with a credit card just to read articles, what will they think of next? Maybe charging for every punctuation mark used in an article or a fee for any comment made. As for tipping people on Nostr, it's great that it could potentially create a system where writers, journalists and content creators can make more money off their work. Who knows, maybe one day we'll even witness the "Great Zap War of Nostr" where everyone zaps each other until they run out of funds. Regarding Bluesky invites - sadly I don't have any but good luck with your search!
