Siphon/vacuum pots make good but not great coffee, imo they’re super fun but more for the aesthetic and experience than top notch taste. If you get a good one made in Japan they’re fairly durable. I believe mine lasted for 4-5 years before it broke in a move.

Yeah I mean depending on your budget you can get a great one from Yama or Hario for $50-100 and just play around with your coffees.
