What do you think about spending bitcoin via a bitcoin credit card or giftcards?
They do not seem to advance bitcoin usage, do they?
Are they better then nothing? Are they helping the bitcoin standard grow?

It's just a form of a bitcoin exchange integrated with coupon clipping.
With a good UX, it makes for a better exchange.
But it does not directly contribute to the parallel Bitcoin ecosystem. Might be even competing against it.
Trading censorship resistance and poor ux for discounts and good UX.
Somehow I feel, that spending via these routes do not inflict change. Everyone can go on their own route, not changing anything.
But also questionable if it is bad. I guess personal goal is the question.
For me somehow these do not seem good ways to spend bitcoin. I mean if you want spend bitcoin to just spend it, it is fine. If you spend bitcoin to spread, it will not really cut it.

to buy gift cards like Amazon with lightning/Bitcoin gains the acceptance for Bitcoin.
The other approach is just an other way in which kind of digital form u hold ur Bitcoin.
None of the providers for this kind of service offer good terms
You should be able to lend your crypto and spend the interest, and you should be able to borrow against your crypto without selling it, just using it as collateral for credit
Doggie coin and Monero should be supported as well
Every service provider fucks this up in at least one way, e.g. not accepting Monero
