Although it is a possibility I do not agree with this use of op_return, given the case that Nostr grew a lot in use it could be a spam problem for Bitcoin unintentionally.

It could be yes. Is the value of the social sybil resistance greater than the cost of storage. The answer is maybe, but probably yes, imho. It is to a degree mitigated by the fee market.

Also, dont forget that OP_RETURNs are pruned. So security budget goes up

If you don't want people using this then price them out of the fee market.

This isn't mean for every nostr user to use, just people who want to op_return their key.

Valid transaction is valid.
