Maybe I'm just slow today but I don't really get the connection between the two alternatives? Is it about recommending onchain vs lightning?

it's about the right way to start stacking sats 😅 you are not slow

I'd get normies on lightning over onchain any day atm, then get them to custody their sats onchain when they reach 500k-1 mill sats probably. I don't need to force feed them a giga orange onchain pill on their first couple of smaller stacks.
