Self-perceived moral superiority means stagnation. Either you build the better system - or you endlessly keep shouting why you're better than everybody else until there's nobody left to listen.

Nobody cares about your thing representing better values except for those who are already on your side.

There is a rare combination of the two though and I'm thinking of some Bitcoin projects that are very vocal about their values and actually keep delivering. But the 90% don't deliver. They keep pointing fingers until nobody cares about them anymore.

Hundreds of years of modern civilization have shown that the market doesn't care about morals. So it's strange to witness free market evangelists basically doing nothing but preaching and pointing fingers all day.

Its tolerable of a broad subset of moral systems but this doesnt mean any and everything is conducive to its health.

Markets struggle more as theft becomes a cultural norm. Murder is generally not good for business either.
