I actually came back to ask this. If I click delete account, will it obsolete my private keys ? So, in case if it was compromised nobody will be able to log in ?

You are correct sir.

If you keep your nsec, you can log back into another client and change your profile back to normal. IIRC, all that does is change your name to ‘nobody’ and delete all profile info. It was a requirement to get App Store approval.

So then it’s a fake deletion 🤔

I was gonna ask how do you corrupt asymmetric keys that are already created 🤣 🤷‍♂️ lol

I remember that almost a year ago @NVK obliterated his first npub on Damus trying to click.

After that they did explicit that it would mean irreversible (or similar).

Evan is correct (ugh where’s a Pom-pom emoji) ☀️

Yes. To appease Apple’s app reviewers.

I’d totally deleted my nsec + client apps last summer. Months later, I downloaded a client app Id tried early on in TestFlight and it had my nsec still. I was glad in that instance but yeah, these nostr streets nostr:npub1z4m7gkva6yxgvdyclc7zp0vz4ta0s2d9jh8g83w03tp5vdf3kzdsxana6p, they’re “early” as people say 🤗

Nope, there is no way to permanently delete a nostr account. This button will update your profile and mark it as deleted. If a client enforces this or not is up to them.

It’ll be wiped out forever.
