Basically mind is designed to go towards objects and create experience. It isn’t designed to stay as source ( self) . First body is created and it is taught that body is me . Thst becomes my reality , my identity 🤔

So pure self becomes mind . Mind is identified self . It is designed to experiences ups n downs of this world . But all the time its searching for the permanent peace( or fulfillment ) that is in its source , as source. This identified self experiences lifetimes looking for the fulfillment . It is searching for it in temporary ever changing world. Its searching for itself, the source of permanent peace n fulfillment . It will be an effort to keep the attention at the source till the time its not an effort . I need to do that effort
Interest creates attention. When there is no interest in world and only interest in self ,I think attention will rest in self. Grace, efforts , prayers , they say , are helpful.
