I have an ancient Ledger Nano S (updated to the latest firmware: v2.1.0).

Should I keep it or buy a different HHW?

Keep it...at least until the display goes out. Be sure to have a backup too...

Thanks

Any recommendations for a different HWW?

Ledger is not considered best practice as far as securing Bitcoin goes. At most, use it as a “decoy stack” and leave it somewhere easy for a thief to find.

Foundation Device Passport

Coldcard is typically considered best -in-class, and most secure. I would agree with the sentiment). (I’m also a big fan of bitbox02 but both are great

Coldcard is really nice. Plenty of beginner as well as advanced features, so it grows with you as you go down along the btc journey.

If you still have any shitcoins, put them there and give it up if you get robbed.

COLDCARD Mk4 or Foundation Passport. I used to recommend Blockstream Jade but after a bad experience with tech support I’m not a fan anymore.

Thanks

Personally, I still use my ledger nano X as a daily “warm wallet” but not for my cold storage.

I’d recommend a Trezor — model three is on my wish list.

Thanks
