Trying to discover if I've all of a sudden become allergic to pineapple, had some fresh the other day and had an itchy face and minor puffiness around my lips. The pineapple wasn't the only thing I'd eaten in the suspicious timeframe, but it was the most likely candidate. I just had a couple of chunks of frozen pineapple and I'm trying to distract myself so I don't cause an issue, also not sure if frozen would cause a reaction as I have never had any food allergies 🤷‍♀️.

Have you considered pesticides?

I used to react to shop bought pineapple.

So I avoided it although love it.

When I ate freshly picked pineapple from a wild tree in Mauritius it was just delicious and no reactions.

Who knows what they treat the fruit with that we get served?

I mean maybe 🤷‍♀️ I've eaten a lot of fresh pineapple and have never had any problems before. I tried some frozen chunks a bit ago and am feeling itchy again, so my hopes are sinking. I will dose myself with frozen again and see what happens, it's not severe anaphalaxys just itching.
