So for my setup, I have a dedicated machine that is running two vms. One vm has mynode (which is the one with issues) and the other running umbrel.

I have had annoying power issues here for past few weeks due to a tornado that came through. We still have seen occasional surges. That likely has something to do with it.

Also I'm running a few miners and my house is notorious for tripping breakers. I think my electricity here is not the cleanest unfortunately. But I've had several instances of overloading a couple circuits and I think that could be contributing to the problem too...

That or tor is just finicky

I don't think that electricity is the main issue with the "disconnection", you can have problems with network connection at hardware level if you don't have something that prevent the power surge, or little spikes but it will be more "general" and cross all your equipment, not only the VM machine.

There is no easy way to help with Tor issues, just reboot the service and try to economize the use of that network connections.
