I usually recommend a desktop based on what people are used to honestly. If they're coming from Mac I'll suggest GNOME or Zorin, and from Windows I'll suggest KDE or Cinnamon depending on how technical they are. Even if I do suggest GNOME, I'll suggest some extensions x3
