Should Nostr clients be a little more lenient towards loading your all of your followers from all the relays?

What do you mean by lenient in this case?
#[4] said something like making it Amethyst strict to fetch data from the relays.
I asked @iris why my follower count is much lower and they said they only show the ones I interact with the most.
