I'm in Tennessee about an hour from Nashville... Most areas outside of metro Nashville, Memphis and Chattanooga are conservative... Schools can very if you are looking at government education... If you homeschool that's a moot point. North of Nashville gets more winter weather, south of Nashville less weather... Lots of nature just a short drive from downtown... Several towns have had some growing pains (Clarksville, Murfreesboro, Franklin and Hendersonville) but there are some really nice areas. I'm "west of town" but I don't go to Nashville all that often.
