One of the weirdest things about doing a lot of volunteering and politicking and etc. is the fact that you quickly realize that the other people doing the same thing tend to also have more other responsibilities than the norm.
Volunteers are more-likely to be in paid employment.
Volunteers are more-likely to be married.
Volunteers are more-likely to have household carework, for children or the disabled.
Volunteers are more-likely to run their own business.
Volunteers for one thing tend to be there, when you go to volunteer at another thing. If there are thousands of people in a community, you will see the same 200 people, everywhere there is work to be done.
The people who are doing a lot, tend to do even more.
