Not so much freedom being chained to a robot and subsidizing thought processes to it. If anything, AI will be a tool to enslave us more.

Humans offload brainpower to authority. Now they can offload it to something that doesn't have anyone's interests but their own.

this is a great point. if the AI is open source and trained to the user's liking, learning from them, then it's just an extension of the user. we don't have to use 'big AI'.

open source ai models will be ran on your phone and be able to help with tasks to make your life easier. ai is just at tool. if you want to be enslaved by it, that's on the user.

I personally do not have the need for an assistant nor did I ever felt it. So probably I am biased when I say that AI isn't a necessity, but a bubble (both economical and procedural).

Your last point is a great point actually, but I don't see many people waking up when there's a metaphorical bed ready for them. And whether we like to think we are individualists, society plays an important role in our life. And a zombie society isn't desirable in my opinion.

i don't hand wash my clothes or air dry most of my clothes because i use a tool to help me be more efficient with my time. i don't see ai being any different.

With dishwasher of washing machine you outsource physical power. And if we don't exercise we get fat instantly because we lack the physical activities that those tools helped us with.

With ai you outsource brain power.

And if we don't exercise our brain (something most of the population is reluctant to do already) we become retards.

This is my rationale for being an AI disrespectoor 😎

right and people go to the gym or work out at home as tools take the place of physical labor. i don't see any difference with mental labor either. you need to exercise both your body and your mind.

Exactly, the difference resides in the fact that fat people hurt nobody but themselves, while retards hurt everybody 😂

Alright I'm done with my rant
