almost everything on web browsers these days wants to give you notifications

how many things are actually important to people?

their own calendar, and a few critical individuals who they value highly, and want to interact with when they message you

that's it

because of how many motherfuckers want to get in your face, the important notifications are starting to be increasingly lost in the complexity of systems that try to make you stand to attention for every flippin stupid thing

really, it's clear that there is gonna have to be some kind of client side filtering system for this so that nothing gets lost that matters

just missed a scheduled meeting with my colleague and there's no way the notification couldn't have come through, was maybe at best drowned out in the midst of gaming noises

which is pretty lame, idk what to say, what a mess

I never use notifications in browser, I always block them.

i only use them for calendar but i missed one today because my browser was closed, even though i have the calendar app installed on my phone, i guess it was too quiet against the noise of screeching zombies

What is more important: defending yourself against such creatures or attending a meeting. XD

definitely need to be at the meeting

but if it was real zombies all bets are off, i'm out scavenging, i need a crowbar, stat.
