IMO, BTC would be just fine.
In fact, it would rebound faster than most other forms of currency (aside from straight barter)
The ~25% of Earth facing the sun at release would be completely screwed, so yes, BTC would survive a singular event just fine.
I'm not saying BTC would die, I'm just saying given the impact and likelihood of it happening again in conjunction with our increasingly electric world it is a significantly more important topic to study.
