Many people still don't value sats. When they value owning it they will suddenly be interested.

Interest isn't always the problem. Some people are just not ready to secure 12 words it seems.

It definitely took a small amount of courage to make that leap in any significant way

Yeah, this has solidified that I will never give bitcoin again without making a personal backup of the address I set up for them. Unfortunately this isn't the first instance of a friend/family member losing the stack I passed forward to them. If they want the sovereignty they'll need to learn to create their own wallet at some point in the future.

Yep. I don’t give away at all. I do mentally allocate a bit to family, but that amount goes down as NGU 😂

Do not cast your pearls before swine is the sad reality.

This is the pain of receiving without earning the right to the gift.

The few little sats we zap back and forth on nostr to strangers mean more to them and is more appreciated than a well intended massive blessing to an ignorant loved one.

It's a shame.

Give them a non custodial lightning wallet and have them hold some sats that way.

Most people learn when the amount is substantial or when they get rugged.

Is the amount enough to justify the work?

We see the future value as current value, is what makes normies so frustrating to explain to.

We cannot trust them with their own wealth.
