⚡️⚠️ ALERT - Emblem Vault CEO has 75% of his crypto assets stolen because of a call on Zoom.

Jake Gallen lost $100,000 in assets and several NFTs in this particularly effective ploy.

The malicious actor, answering to the name "ELUSIVE COMET", "employs sophisticated social engineering tactics with the aim of tricking victims into installing malware and, ultimately, stealing their crypto".

Gallen said he arranged an interview after being contacted by a verified X account with 26,000 followers who claimed to be the founder and CEO of a crypto mining platform.

But during the interview, Gallen was tricked into activating the installation of malware called "GOOPDATE", which stole his credentials and allowed access to his crypto wallets.

An option activated by default on Zoom therefore allows participants to request remote access, to take full control of your computer.

⚠️ If you're using ZOOM, be sure to disable this option in the settings ⚠️

I think some hacker tried the same thing with Larry Lepard or someone else like that. Saying they were from Bloomberg or something and tried to set up a Zoom call.
