There's no inertia as strong as that of social norms.

Most successful digital content creators don't work/publish on weekends even though they could work/publish whenever they want.

I understand they need the rest, but I don't understand why they would choose to rest on days everyone else is forced to rest on.

Have you ever tried to do something social in the middle of the week? Everybody is working xD

Yes, that's the inertia. May team building weekends activities on a Wednesday become a thing.

some of us are lucky to work whenever we want but most of my family and frens are only available on weekends.

Tell them your weekend starts on Monday and see how many can accomodate you.
