It is. And I never finished it. Somewhere in first 1/3 a little kid gets shot and run over by the new army and that was that for me.

Shame you don't speak czech. I'd give it away, I'm thinking about it for longer. This was new two years ago, I love scifi, but you might enjoy it more. Aida, do you want a basically new book?
