bear with me. this metaphor works.

you have an angel on one shoulder and a demon on the other. the angel doesn't understand the world in words and doesn't see self and other. the demon only see a world divided into things, numbers. the demon's view is microscopic and selfish because it only sees and does things for itself.

in the end they are not separate and we can not leave them.

each moment you are choosing what to hear, either one or the other or both. if you don't hear both you are picking sides.

one leads to nihilism, the other leads to narcissism. if the demon is not heard, it gets really loud. angel too.

how can you hear both and forget what I just wrote at the same time?
