Run an Android emulator on your desktop so you can add the web app to your home screen, then click it.
Can’t you just add a shortcut from the browser?

Tried that and the "Brave app" just opened to the homepage.
I don’t think Brave supports PWAs. If he’s using window.matchMedia('(display-mode: standalone)').matches it should work in Chrome.
