When it comes to digital goods (movies, music, games, anything), that is the way things are trending. The problem is that when the online service ends, changes its terms or bans your account, you get cucked... you no longer own the thing, in fact, you never did.

If you bought something and they do not provide you with the file, you don't own shit. You should always resort to piracy in such cases. If buying isn't owning, piracy isn't stealing.
